In my Flocknote message sent yesterday morning, a parishioner reported being with a relative Sunday who later tested positive for COVID-19.
We do not yet know the test results from this parishioner's exposure. Under guidelines from the CDC and the Diocese of Pittsburgh, we are not required to shut down, but we want an abundance of caution for our parishioners. Therefore, all Masses this evening will be Livestream ONLY and all churches will remain closed to the public. If we find out tonight that the test result was negative, we will continue with Sunday morning Masses as planned otherwise, Livestream only tomorrow as well. As we did in the spring, we will livestream one Mass from each church with a limited number of people present to serve the Masses. Our livestream schedule will be as follows:
Sat Vigil 4:00PM - STI (Feast Day Mass)
5:30PM - SJV
Sunday 8:00AM - OLOJ
9:00AM - SJB
11:00AM - SJAN
Only the priest, lector, altar server (and parent if child), organist, cantor and livestream technician need to show up tonight and unless you hear from me tomorrow, tomorrow also at the Masses and churches listed above.
Additionally, we have cleaned and used our electrostatic sanitizer in all church building for extra precaution.
Please continue prayers for those exposed and the entire OPV Catholic family during this uncertain weekend. Thank you for your continued patience.
In Christ's love,
Father Kevin
